Plot

In the heart of wedding season, two strangers, Brooke Etheridge and Nate Thomas, find their paths colliding. Brooke, a dedicated physical therapist, and Nate, a skilled classic-car restorer with a similar profession, are both embarking on an identical journey, attending four separate weddings over four consecutive weekends. Each is connected to the wedding party in some way, but neither has the safety of a plus-one. Brooke is grappling with a recent breakup from her business partner, Colin, making professional life a delicate dance, while Nate is nursing wounds from a nearly-wedded relationship that ended abruptly. As they navigate a world where matrimonial events are often seen as a hunting ground for singles, Brooke and Nate yearn to dodge the romantic advances and expectations. Brooke, seeking space to rediscover herself, has sworn off dating for the season. However, the last wedding presents a twist: both are part of the wedding party for their dear friends, Ginny and Greg, who are convinced that Brooke and Nate are a perfect match. Their paths cross in a sequence of awkward encounters, and soon, the idea of becoming "wedding buddies" forms. This alliance is meant to shield them from the unwelcome romantic pursuits of fellow guests. But as they traverse the wedding landscape together, their friendship begins to blossom into something more profound. Amidst the joyous chaos of weddings, they start spending time beyond the festivities, unknowingly falling for each other. The challenge lies in the unspoken, the feelings yet to be acknowledged. As the wedding bells chime, will Brooke and Nate realize the depth of their connection?
