Plot

Amidst the icy solitude of a late-night somewhere in the U.S, young Casey finds herself ensnared in the enigmatic labyrinth of her attic bedroom, surrounded by a cosmos of glow-in-the-dark stars and psychedelic black-light posters that drape the ceiling. Her only connection to the outside world is through the hypnotic hum of the internet, where she stumbles upon the World's Fair Challenge - an intriguing online role-playing horror game. With an audacious heart and a thirst for the unknown, Casey decides to plunge into this digital abyss, embracing the unpredictable thrill it promises. As she navigates through the unsettling layers of the game, she starts documenting a series of inexplicable changes that she may or may not be undergoing. These recorded experiences, scattered amongst a sea of online clips, become her testament to this virtual reality, blurring the line between her dreams and her lived reality. However, in the vast expanse of the World Wide Web, Casey is not alone. A shadowy figure emerges from the digital fog, claiming to discern something extraordinary in her shared experiences. As Casey delves deeper into this online nightmare, she finds herself slowly losing grip on her reality, teetering on the edge of the tangible and the surreal. The virtual world begins to seep into her very existence, ensnaring her in a web of intrigue and horror that becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish from her own world.
