Plot
Richie Finestra is a record executive on the ropes. His company — American Century — has suffered a string of failures, and Richie has been essentially forced into negotiating a sale of the company. He's a smart executive with a good ear for music, but he understands that he'll need a big break to avoid having to sell his company. Driven by drugs and booze, Richie sets out into 1970's America in search of the next great sound. In the process, he comes across some of the biggest acts of the day. But while Richie spirals into a lifestyle of decadence, a suspicious homicide detective follows in his wake.
