Plot

In the ever-busy, digital-saturated reality of Dan and Jeanine Dewerson's life, the sparks they once shared have dwindled to a mere flicker, overshadowed by the relentless glow of screens and blare of social media notifications. Their matrimonial bond, once vibrant and passionate, now flickers uncertainly in the cool, blue light of their devices; their daughter's only confidante a lifeless iPad. In a desperate attempt to rekindle their love and reignite their dormant intimacy, Dan concocts a plan: a tranquil, technology-free escape to an isolated mountain town. No children, no ringing phones, no pinging messages - just the purity of nature, the serenity of silence, and the promise of renewed romance. However, their idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an unexpected fiasco. The absence of GPS leaves them directionless; the lack of social media, aimless. The tranquility is shattered by bizarre encounters with the supernatural, the disorientation of potent edibles, and the peculiarities of the local inhabitants, not to mention the constant irritation of a mischievous one-eyed dog. Stripped of their digital crutches, the Dewersons are thrust back into an unfamiliar world of unmediated human connection. As they navigate the chaos, Dan and Jeanine are compelled to rediscover each other, to reconnect beyond screens, and to confront the question: can a "digital detox" truly resuscitate their fading marriage and restore their sanity? In the heart of the wilderness, they are about to find out. Unplugging from the grid, they are forced to plug back into their own lives, and maybe, just maybe, find the spark that once set their love aflame.
