Ultimate Force (2005)

From the ashes of war emerges our protagonist, "Axon Rey," an esteemed war veteran and ex-tactical officer, handpicked by a shadowy government agency to combat state adversaries. Trained in the ancient art of combat and armed with cutting-edge weapons, Rey adopts the codename "Sphinx," ascending the ranks to become a key player in SATO's (State Anti-Terrorist Organization) sanction division, an enigmatic group of assassins under the command of SIN (State Intelligence Network). However, during a mission, Sphinx falters. The state's usual response to such failure is swift and ruthless - the execution of the executor. But Sphinx's unique position persuades his handler, Janus, to offer a second chance, banishing him to the rehabilitation island known as "Gulag 7". Here, Sphinx must confront and overcome five other fallen agents, each with their reasons for being cast away. Declining to fight equals certain death. In the aftermath of his final battle, Sphinx stumbles upon a prison cell housing a familiar face - Nina, his long-lost love he believed was dead. Nina unveils a shocking truth - her death was a ruse orchestrated by their Director to keep Sphinx, their prime assassin, focused and free from the distractions of love. With renewed hope, the two lovers dream of a future free from their past. But their dream is short-lived as they find themselves cornered by soldiers and Janus. Janus confirms Nina's revelation, that her supposed death was the Director's masterstroke. Fueled by betrayal and a thirst for justice, Sphinx and Nina devise a daring plan to eliminate the Director, a move that would redefine the balance of ultimate power.
