Plot

In the far-off year of 1985, as foreseen by the 1976 film, Tunnel Vision, the American television landscape is radically transformed by the advent of the country's first "unrestricted and liberated" network. This daring new platform, christened Tunnelvision, captivates the nation with its audacious content, though it soon becomes the controversial epicentre of a societal upheaval, with accusations of escalating crime rates and unemployment hovering ominously around it. The man at the helm of this provocative revolution, the visionary president and founder of Tunnelvision, Christian A. Broder, finds himself under intense scrutiny as he is summoned before a Senate sub-commitive. His mission: to defend the integrity of his groundbreaking network. In a bid to dissect the heart of the controversy, the Senate sub-committee delves into a "typical" day of Tunnelvision broadcasting, unravelling a riotous assortment of skits thumbing their nose at traditional television genres. From parodies of hard-nosed cop shows and dramatic news broadcasts to uproarious take-offs of situation comedies and, naturally, a satirical jab at commercials, the sub-committee's exploration is an extraordinary journey of laughter and disbelief. This audacious spoof of television not only skewers the medium's conventions but also launches the careers of some of the greatest comedians of all time. Tunnel Vision dares to push the boundaries, offering an uncensored, whimsical, and downright outrageous glimpse into the future of television. A spectacle of comedic brilliance and biting satire, it's guaranteed to crack you up and make you question the television norms you've grown accustomed to.
