In the heart of World War II, we meet Eddie Chapman, a charismatic British safecracker, with an unquenchable thirst for thrill and a penchant for beautiful women. Convicted for his misdeeds in London and serving his sentence on the Jersey Island, his life takes an unexpected turn when the Nazis seize control. Seeing an opportunity in his predicament, Chapman, with his unique skills, proposes a devil's bargain to his captors. He agrees to work for the Nazis, aiding their cause against the British, but for a price - his freedom. An exclusive contract with the cunning Baron Von Grunen ensures Eddie's services, giving him a new identity - Franz Grauman and a unique sign-off for their correspondence, "XXX".
