Toofan (1989)

In the bustling city of Bombay, a tale of friendship, justice, and magic unfolds. Hanuman Prasad Singh, an honest police officer, and Ramesh Kumar, a beloved magician, share a bond that transcends friendship. When Hanuman's wife tragically dies in childbirth, leaving twin boys behind, and Ramesh's wife Devyani is left barren, a bittersweet exchange occurs. Hanuman gives one of his sons to the grieving couple, a boy who grows up to be Shyam, a magician in his father's footsteps. While Shyam dazzles audiences with his conjuring tricks, his biological brother grows under the care of Hanuman. This brother is destined to become Toofan, the village's beacon of strength and justice. However, their pursuit is marred by tragedy when Gopal suffers a horrific accident, leaving him unable to drive and vulnerable to the wrath of Daku Zalim Singh and Shaitan Singh. The merciless duo raids Gopal's village, resulting in the brutal murder of his wife, Laxmi, and Gopal himself. Upon hearing this devastating news, Shyam travels to the village, seeking vengeance. But upon arrival, he is mistaken for the powerful Toofan, a man blessed with superhuman strength by Bhagwan Shri Hanuman. Now, Shyam, a mere magician, finds himself grappling with the enormous task of living up to Toofan's legendary reputation and avenging his friend's death.
