Plot

Spanning the languid heat of three sequential summers from 2015 to 2017, the film immerses us in the vibrant world of Madá, a spirited woman in her fifties. Madá navigates through the opulent underbelly of Rio de Janeiro as a caretaker for a cluster of pristine, beach-side luxury condominiums, owned by a prosperous family seemingly untouched by the world's grime. As Madá tirelessly tends to the whims of her supercilious employers, she also embarks on a personal venture, investing her hopes and dreams in a humble roadside snack kiosk. However, the tranquil veil of her life is disrupted when her employers are ensnared in an immense money-laundering scandal. This shocking revelation thrusts Madá into a whirlwind of chaos, testing her resilience and cunning. Nevertheless, through every astounding turn of events, Madá emerges stronger, her spirit unbroken. Her unwavering sense of loyalty towards those who truly merit it remains intact, and her keen eye for opportunity sharper than ever. Amidst the turmoil, Madá seizes the chance to reinvent herself and embarks on an entirely new career path. "Three Summers" is a riveting journey of resilience and resourcefulness, where opportunities are cleverly seized amidst corruption scandals and personal dreams are pursued with relentless determination. This film is a testament to the human spirit's ability to adapt and thrive in the face of adversity.
