Three Days in Havana (2014)

Set against the vibrant backdrop of Havana, Jack Petty, a Vancouver insurance executive, finds himself in the heart of Cuba for an insurance convention. Guided by the advice of Rita, an intriguing stranger he encounters at an airport bar en route, Jack decides to swap the mundane conference for the intoxicating delights that Havana, as a tourist destination, has to offer. Stepping into the colourful night scene of Havana, Jack crosses paths with Harry Smith, a charismatic British travel writer working for Esquire magazine. Harry becomes Jack's unofficial tour guide, taking him through the sizzling nightlife of Havana. However, as Jack immerses himself in the city's allure, he begins to suspect that Harry may be more than just a travel writer. This suspicion is fueled by a particular incident involving Harry and his enigmatic associates. When the time comes for Harry to return to Britain, Jack finds himself tangled in a web of deception and danger that appears to involve a murder. As he navigates through the labyrinth of this conspiracy, which ominously hints at another planned homicide, Jack is driven to take the route he believes will best ensure his safety. In this whirlwind of chaos and uncertainty, Jack must grapple with trust, deception, and his own survival. As the plot thickens, he's left questioning who is truly on his side, all while trying to extricate himself from the treacherous implications of one, or possibly two, murders. This gripping tale of intrigue and suspense unfolds in the pulsating heart of Havana, where every step could lead Jack closer to danger or deliverance.
