Loretta Lassiter becomes a widow after her own son murders her husband, the boy’s father. Young Mike originally confesses to the crime. Loretta appeals to her new lawyer boyfriend, Richard Ramsey, to defend her son. The evidence against Mike seems overwhelming. But as Ramsey digs deeper, he uncovers shocking details about the murdered father. As a more complicated picture develops, Ramsey believes he has gathered enough evidence to get Mike acquitted at trial. Unfortunately, more stunning evidence is about to come to light that will make this case even more bizarre and loaded with jarring plot twists.
