The West Point Story (1950)

In the heart of Broadway, a seasoned director Elwin "Bix" Bixby finds himself in a tight spot. Overwhelmed by financial woes due to his gambling habit, his life takes an unexpected turn when his old rival, theatrical promoter Harry Eberhart, extends an unusual request. Harry beseeches Bix to direct a musical at West Point Academy, hoping to lure his gifted nephew, Tom Fletcher, away from the military life and into the spotlight. To make matters even more complex, Harry employs Eve Dillon, Bix's on-again-off-again girlfriend and talented dancer, as leverage, effectively twisting Bix's arm into accepting the proposition.
