The Terror Within (1989)

In the ashen aftermath of a post-apocalyptic world, a catastrophic experiment known as "the accident" has unleashed a deadly chemical warfare, mutating the remnants of the human race into grotesque gargoyles. Nestled in an isolated, subterranean complex, a group of eight survivors, untouched by the plague, find solace. Their survival hinges on an antidote they developed against the deadly illness, their sanctuary a fortress against the horrors that lurk above. Venturing into the desolate wasteland on a desperate quest for sustenance, they rescue a lone surface survivor, a woman, from the clutches of the gargoyles.
