In the comically ordinary universe of superheroes and supervillains, Max McCabe (Rob Benedict) has carved out his niche as the ever-dependable sidekick to the legendary Captain Wonder (Ron Livingston). His world of danger and high-stakes action is punctuated by the gleam of his boss's golden lasso and his own energetic catchphrases, including the iconic "Look out!" and "Here, catch!" However, as Max nears his 40s, he finds his enthusiasm for these minor tasks dwindling, and his once vibrant energy replaced by a growing indifference.
