The Purge: Election Year (2016)

Senator Charlie Roan is running for president on a platform of getting rid of the Purge, the one night each year when all crime is legal. However, the New Founding Fathers of America are determined not to lose their grip on power, and they plot to assassinate Roan on the next Purge night. Betrayed by members of her security forces, Roan finds herself out on the streets of Washington, D.C. on Purge night with only her head of security, Leo Barnes, to protect her. Together, the two must try to survive the night and bring the truth to the people.
