Plot

In the late 19th century, a trio of British archaeologists, John Banning, his father Stephen, and his uncle Joseph Whemple unearth an untouched chapter of time in the heart of Egypt - the tomb of the enigmatic Princess Ananka. As they disturb the cryptic silence of the tomb, Stephen stumbles upon The Scroll of Life, a revered artifact of ancient lore. When he dares to read from it, a dormant curse is awakened, bringing the mummified guardian of Ananka, her former lover Kharis, back from the ether of death. The shock of the event sends Stephen into a spiral of insanity, his heart unable to bear the terror. A shadowy figure, Mehemet Bey, a devout follower of Ananka's religion, steals the scroll under the cover of chaos. With the power to control the resurrected mummy now in his hands, he plots a meticulous revenge against those who dared to desecrate Ananka's final resting place. Three years later, in the misty heart of England, the repercussions of their Egyptian adventure begin to haunt the Banning family. Stephen, now an intern in a mental institution, struggles with the ghosts of his past, while John, blissfully married to his beloved Isobel, remains oblivious to the impending danger. As the merciless mummy begins its onslaught, targeting Stephen and Joseph, it soon sets its sights on John. But when the mummy encounters Isobel, whose uncanny resemblance to Ananka is striking, it halts in its tracks, sparing John. However, with revenge still burning in Mehemet's heart, will Isobel escape the relentless grasp of the mummy, or will she too fall victim to the curse of Ananka?
