France has almost been defeated. The English, spurred on by the death of King Henry V, have rallied against the French troops and pushed deep into the heart of the country. A young girl, Jeanne d'Arc, claims to see visions of French victory from God and forces her way to the head of the French army. Despite her growing military successes, the French nobility is suspicious of this girl who claims to speak to God. Can Joan outwit both the British army and her French enemies?
