The Ladybug (2018)

In the heart of a glassy laboratory, enclosed within a greenhouse, resides Rube, a seven-spotted ladybug with dreams bigger than his glass cage. His heart yearns for the mythical bug paradise, Golden Canyon. An unexpected encounter with Master Water, a dragonfly on the run from relentless wasp guards, presents him the opportunity to embark on this adventure. Rube, in his naivety, eagerly joins Master Water, unaware of his companion's true intentions to abandon him. Rube's journey takes an unexpected twist when he rescues Master Water from the jaws of a royal frog prince. His quick thinking ties the frog's aggressive tongue into knots, earning him the frog's gratitude. In return, they are granted an escort to an enormous bird - a plane in reality - that soars over their coveted destination. Their descent into the Golden Canyon, however, shatters their dreams as they land amidst a bustling construction site. The plot thickens when Little Fatty, a bug-collecting human child, captures Master Water. The unsuspecting dragonfly is confined within a glass jar, with T-Rex, the pet lizard, acting as a terrifying guard. Rube, once again, rises to the occasion, launching an audacious rescue mission that topples the jar and incapacitates T-Rex. The story takes a turn as the Wasp Queen, who has been tricked by Master Water in the past, arrives with her royal army. Inspired by Rube's courage and determination, she allies with the bugs against the reptilian menace. Embarking on a daring fight, they emerge victorious against the lizard, ultimately setting the stage for the reconstruction of their newfound homeland. This tale of courage, betrayal, and unity paints a captivating picture of a tiny world brimming with adventure and intrigue.
