This film is loosely based on the King Arthur tales. It is an epic fantasy of a lonely boy who finds the famous Excalibur sword in the stone by accident and becomes the leader of a band of knights. His friends and enemies alike join his quest to stop the wicket enchantress, Morgana. They are guided and helped by the wizard Merlin. Modern boys meet ancient myths as they face the challenges the powerful enchantress uses to defeat them. The lonely boy finds the courage he never dreamed he possessed to fight and lead the band of knights to save the world.
