The Incident (2012)

In the year 1989, within the confines of Washington, we meet three aspiring musicians - George, Max, and Ricky - who share a common dream and a common job. They play in a band for pleasure and work as cooks at the Sans Asylum to keep the lights on and their dream alive. This isolated mental institution, watched over by the vigilant security guard J.B. and his team, houses a slew of disturbed criminals who are kept subdued by a strict regimen of pills. One fateful day, George is asked to start his shift early, leaving his girlfriend Lynn in the chilly embrace of their empty bed as he heads out to receive the asylum's kitchen supplies. As he and his bandmates prepare meals for the institution's volatile residents, a storm brews, igniting a blackout that plunges the asylum into a terrifying abyss of darkness. The once controlled environment descends into chaos as the monitoring system malfunctions, freeing the inmates from their electronic shackles. Led by the ruthless Harry Green, the inmates revolt against their captors, turning their pent-up rage towards the hapless guards and staff. Amidst the chaos, George, Max, Ricky, and their kitchen comrades find themselves in a deadly game of hide and seek, tucked away in the shadows, praying to evade the wrath of the unhinged horde. Will the band of cooks survive the night, or will their song be forever silenced?
