From the heart of Gaza, emerges a voice of pure gold, Mohammed Assaf. His earliest audience is the quaint courtyards of his native city, accompanied by his sister Nour and a pair of devoted friends. Guided by Kamal, Mohammed's voice blossoms, filling the air at vibrant local weddings. However, a shadow falls over his life as Nour succumbs to kidney failure, leaving Mohammed to navigate through the bitterness of loss and the harsh realities of war enveloping his home. By 2012, balancing life as a student and a taxi driver to fund his education, Mohammed's heart yearns to sing again. Yet, the concept of a singing career seems impossible without breaking free from the fetters of Gaza. His beacon of hope glimmers in the form of the renowned "Arab Idol" contest. But the challenge remains - how can he step beyond the confines of his city, with no visa in hand?
