Plot

Haunted by the ghosts of war, Phillip Sauvage, an American soldier scarred from his combative history in Iraq and Afghanistan, finds himself plunged into a different battle zone on home turf. His new mission: to safeguard ex-world heavyweight boxing champ turned successful entrepreneur, Wayne Barclay, along with Barclay's family. The looming threat? Terrell Singletery, a notorious rap mogul recently released from prison, nursing a chilling grudge against Barclay - the man behind his incarceration. Sauvage's former commanding officer, Clarence Bowden, recruits him to this high-stakes bodyguard detail. However, the first night spirals into chaos as an assassination attempt on Barclay by gangsters brandishing Uzis leads to Bowden's shocking death. Now, it's up to Sauvage to take control, which means rallying his old friend Casey Bledsoe and training a group of greenhorns handpicked by Barclay himself. Dubbed "The Hard Corps", this unlikely team comprises individuals from Barclay's gym - his way of nurturing the same streets that once molded him. Yet, as they prepare to face Singletery, complications seethe beneath the surface. Barclay grows suspicious of a budding romance between his sister Tamara and Sauvage, adding a layer of tension to their already volatile situation. Will "The Hard Corps" be enough to dismantle Singletery's vendetta? Or will internal strife prove their downfall? In this pulse-pounding blend of action, loyalty, and unexpected romance, The Hard Corps (2006) descends into the gritty world of personal security, where the lines between protector and potential threat blur in the face of relentless danger.
