Plot

In the pulsating heart of contemporary Moscow, we follow the extraordinary life of an ordinary ninth-grader, Nikolay Smirnov, over a span of six whirlwind days. Amidst the humdrum of school life, Nikolay finds himself ensnared in a web of intrigue, romance, and sleep deprivation. Believing that his young, English teacher, Alice, has fallen smitten by him, Nikolay embarks on an unexpected journey into the hazy world of love. This journey is further complicated when the school's computer room is set ablaze in a mysterious fire, leading Ksenia, the principal's beautiful daughter, to fall head-over-heels for Nikolay, convinced it was he who ignited the blaze. As the romantic dynamics weave a complex tapestry around him, Nikolay grapples with a new family routine introduced by his father. The demanding 12/36 schedule - twelve hours of slumber followed by thirty-six sleepless hours - leaves Nikolay perpetually sleep-deprived, adding another layer of chaos to his already turbulent life. With only a few days left before the pivotal school day where all the protagonists collide, Nikolay is tasked with not only unraveling his convoluted love life but also identifying the true arsonist. Amidst these challenges, he must also navigate the rocky terrain of his relationship with his parents. However, a curveball is thrown his way when the school director extends an unusual offer to him. 'The Good Boy' is a vibrant tapestry of adolescent life, filled with unexpected twists and turns at every corner, where Nikolay must find his way through a complex love triangle, familial discord, and an arson mystery. This comedy-drama weaves an intricate narrative that keeps the viewers on the edge of their seats, intrigued and charmed by the captivating world of Nikolay Smirnov.
