Plot
The show takes place in the Bronx of the 1970s, showing the strife and struggles of residents who are simultaneously trying to find themselves and survive a tremendously rough neighborhood. It intermixed historical figures - such as New York Mayor Ed Koch - alongside the fictional main characters. The show largely highlights the story of Zeke, who is shown growing into a world-famous rapper, as he discovers music and tries to survive his childhood with his family and friends.
