Plot

In the captivating mystery of "The Dragon Murder Case," a bizarre cocktail party sets the stage for an enigmatic puzzle. The evening's hostess, the affluent Bernice Stamm, gathers a curious ensemble of individuals - guests who share more resentment than camaraderie. As the night carries on, the party's atmosphere grows tense and intoxicated Stamm abstains, while guests Montague, Greeff, and Leland decide to plunge into the eerily enticing 'dragon pool'. When only Greeff and Leland emerge, Montague's sudden disappearance sends a shiver of suspicion through the night air. Leland, suspecting foul play, alerts the authorities, drawing the keen-eyed Detective Philo Vance into this bewildering scene. Accompanying the District Attorney, Philo arrives at the mansion only to find no trace of Montague. The mystery deepens the next day when the drained pool reveals nothing but peculiar dragon prints, a chilling echo of the pool's ominous folklore. The tale takes a spine-chilling turn as Philo learns from the disturbed, elderly Mrs. Stamm about the pool's ancient origins. Named the 'dragon pool' by the land's original inhabitants, it was believed to be the lair of a lethal dragon. Armed with this eerie revelation and his sharp wit, Philo must untangle this web of clues and uncover the truth behind Montague's vanishing. "The Dragon Murder Case" weaves a tale of suspense and intrigue, where social elitism meets ancient legend, and where every dip in the pool could be your last.
