In the heart of Paris, within the walls of a racially diverse inner-city high school, seasoned teacher François Marin gears up for another academic year. Alongside a group of equally devoted colleagues, Marin embarks on a mission to inspire his students, a medley of fourteen and fifteen-year-olds. Yet, each teacher is a unique cog in this complex educational machine, employing their own methods and ideologies to cultivate the minds of their young charges. The faculty harbor differing perspectives on their students, resulting in a dynamic spectrum of praise and discipline. This melting pot of personalities and teaching approaches is held together by a fair administration that involves student representatives in the evaluation process, fostering a sense of shared responsibility.
