The Christmas Club (2019)

As the festive season dawns upon New York City, two solitary hearts, Olivia Bennett, a former ballerina turned dance teacher, and Edward Taylor, a small business consultant, find themselves inexplicably drawn to one another. Both have long since removed themselves from the arena of romance; Olivia, still nursing the emotional wounds from the loss of her husband eight years prior, and Edward, a perpetual traveler who views himself as a transient soul with no fixed abode, unfit for romantic commitments due to a history of failed attempts. Their paths serendipitously cross when they come to the aid of an elderly woman, Gertrude, who misplaces her $80 Christmas Club savings intended for holiday gifts. Over the course of the Yuletide season, Olivia and Edward continually bump into each other, often in situations linked to Gertrude's lost money. This puts not only the anticipated Christmas Eve recital at risk, but also jeopardizes Olivia's professional future. Moreover, this unfortunate turn of events is inadvertently tied to Edward's latest client, casting a shadow over their burgeoning romance.
