Plot

In the shadowy depths of Mississippi's prison system, a young and polished attorney, Adam Hall, finds himself embroiled in a high-stakes race against time. His mission? To appeal the death sentence of his own grandfather, Sam Cayhall - a notorious Klansman, convicted for the horrific murder of two innocent Jewish boys three decades earlier. With a mere four weeks until the impending execution, Adam meets his grandfather for the first time, a confrontation marked by a chilling clash of education and hate-filled bile. As the news of Adam's familial connection to the infamous Ku Klux Klan bomber breaks, he becomes an unwilling media sensation. But beneath the surface-level desire to save his grandfather's life, a deeper, more personal motivation unravels. Adam is not merely battling for his grandfather, but wrestling with the demons of his own past - the haunting suicide of his father, the shame of his tainted bloodline, and the quest for closure in the face of his grandfather's legacy of suffering. As the clock ticks down, Adam's fight becomes twofold - not only to spare his grandfather's life but to heal the wounds of his own. However, the bitter question remains: can mercy ever truly penetrate the hardened heart of a hate-filled man?
