Plot

Amid the echoing hustle of New York's Wall Street, Howard Brubaker, a newly-crowned broker, finds himself uncomfortably thrust into his boss Ted Gunther's vibrant apartment party. Beneath the glimmering chandeliers, he crosses paths with the enchanting and seemingly unattached Catherine - none other than Ted's wife. Their connection is instant, a quiet rebellion against the cacophony of the party, and they escape to the sanctuary of a dimly-lit club. Within the velvet shadows, they confess the emptiness of their respective marriages, their words weaving a shared tapestry of discontent. In the midst of their budding connection, they encounter the Greenlaws - Grace and Andre, a couple whose enduring love story has weathered the test of time. Inspired by their evident happiness, Catherine and Howard entertain a daring proposition: to abandon their stifling lives and seek fresh beginnings in the romantic city of Paris. The dawn light, however, brings with it the harsh reality of their choices. Will Howard and Catherine manage to break free from the chains of their unfulfilling marriages, or will pressures from their spouses and societal expectations extinguish the flame of their newfound hope? As the April Fools, they stand at the precipice of a life-altering decision, their future hinging on the courage to pursue true happiness over conformity.
