In the heart of a downpour, Cathy Timberlake, a jobless working girl, finds herself the unexpected target of a mud-splashing incident, courtesy of a passing limousine that leaves her drenched and furious. The driver's failure to stop only fuels her indignation, until she comes face-to-face with the limousine's occupant - Philip Shayne, a dashing, well-heeled businessman. This encounter sparks an immediate attraction, a magnetic pull that seems to transcend their differing worlds. Philip, a notorious ladies' man, is captivated by Cathy's honest charm, her innocence proving a breath of fresh air in his opulent, fast-paced world.
