Plot

'Teeth' (2015) spins a compelling tale of a man's life-long obsession, an infatuation that began in his youth and persisted through the creased pages of his twilight years. This riveting narrative tells the story of a man who, having lost all his teeth, finds himself entranced by the memory of his vanished chompers, the once insignificant tools of mastication now irrevocably lost. The film beautifully illustrates the concept that we often overlook the truly valuable parts of our lives, easily seduced by the allure of immediate gratification. Our protagonist is a poignant example of this human flaw, his fixation blinding him to the beauty of life's simpler pleasures. He finds a desperate solace in his newly-acquired prosthetic denture, a stark, artificial reminder of what was once natural and effortless. But his fixation does not stop at mere acceptance. Instead, he spirals into a frantic mission to protect his new dental surrogate, his obsession becoming a destructive force that threatens the tranquility of his existence. 'Teeth' is a vivid exploration of the human capacity for obsession, painting an evocatively raw picture of a man’s unrelenting quest to recapture a part of himself lost forever. Yet in his fevered pursuit for restoration, he teeters on the brink of disaster, his obsession threatening to gnaw away at the remaining fragments of his life. The film reminds us that some things, once neglected and lost, are as irreplaceable as a set of natural teeth, and that the teeth of life can, if not cared for, bite back with a vengeance.
