Suburbicon (2017)

Suburbicon looks like the perfect mid-century American community, but its perfectly manicured lawns and white picket fences don't come without a cost: a lesson that a newly arrived African-American family will learn the hard way. Gardner Lodge and his family moved here looking for a new, peaceful life, but it doesn't take long before the town's smiling facade begins to peel away. The virulent racism of the community lurks barely beneath the surface, and the community is openly calling for the Lodges to be ejected from the community. The Lodges will soon come to the disturbing realization that the bigots of Suburbicon aren't above using violence to keep things the way they want them.
