Plot

In the humdrum world of the Knables, Roy, a struggling plumbing supplies salesman turned couch potato, and Helen, a successful senior product manager, are grappling with their fraying marriage. Roy's incessant TV watching has become a bone of contention, driving Helen to the brink of despair. In a desperate bid to salvage their relationship, she proposes a romantic getaway, devoid of distractions - especially the television. However, when the allure of the big screen proves too potent for Roy, Helen's frustration reaches its peak, prompting her to shatter their television in a fit of anger. Just when their world seems to crumble, a mysterious salesman named Spike appears, offering Roy the "ultimate getaway" - a new remote controller and an advanced satellite TV. Unwittingly, Roy signs a free trial contract, oblivious to the fact that he has just traded his soul to the devil himself. Helen's disdain for the new TV soon turns into alarm as an altercation outside triggers the activation of the sinister "dish". Before they know it, they are sucked into a nightmarish "Cable Television World of Hell" - a labyrinth of six hundred and sixty-six channels. Trapped in a twisted reality, they must navigate their way through a series of bizarre shows such as "You Can't Win", "Northern Overexposure", "Driving Over Miss Daisy" and "RoboCat", among others. The clock is ticking; they have 24 hours to survive or their souls will be damned forever. After a day of surreal trials, Roy is transported back home, while Helen remains a captive in the hellish TV world. Now, it's up to their children - Daryl, a tech prodigy, and Diane, a fashion enthusiast - to aid their father in this daunting rescue mission. As he plunges back into the inferno of Hell Vision TV to save Helen, Roy must keep a wary eye on Spike. This thrilling adventure will force him to confront a stark reality - that life comprises more than just the television. Roy is about to learn the true value of commitment in a world where the remote no longer controls his destiny.
