Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984)

The Enterprise is set to be decommissioned, and Captain Kirk is set to receive a promotion to Admiral. However, he learns startling news from Sarek. Sarek is the father of Spock, Kirk's dead First Officer and best friend. According to Sarek, Spock transferred his spirit to McCoy, meaning that if they can retrieve his body, he can be resurrected. Spock's body was sent to the planet Genesis where it has begun to regenerate Kirk and the rest of the crew of the Enterprise must steal the enterprise, travel to Genesis, and save their friend. In doing so, they must fight off Klingon invaders who seek to use Genesis for their own nefarious ends.
