In the captivating narrative of Skinned, we delve into the tumultuous journey of a young woman, tormented by her own self-perceived aesthetic flaws and the societal pressure of a misconstrued beauty ideal. Fast forwarding a decade or so, we find our protagonist living a seemingly dazzling life as a radiant model, married to a wonderful man. However, beneath the surface lurks a sinister reality; the harmful chemicals from her past obsession have begun to take a toll on her health, casting a dark shadow over her seemingly perfect existence. The reveal of her destructive secret to her husband adds an additional layer of tension.
Guided by a psychiatrist, our heroine Jolie is compelled to navigate the labyrinth of her past and confront the ghosts that haunt her. Skinned is a poignant exploration of a woman's fight to salvage her future while battling the demons of her past.
