In a desperate bid to escape their penniless existence and backyard tent dwelling, Vince (Cameron Van Hoy) and Freddy (Michael Drayer) hatch an audacious plan. They invent Sharkproof wetsuits and are hell-bent on hitting gold with their venture. Venturing into the neon-lit underbelly of downtown LA, they approach Max (Jon Lovitz), a notorious loan shark who presides over a bustling club.
