Shallow (2012)

In the chilling throes of his newfound political success, Richard Dove, a freshly inaugurated Member of Parliament, is confronted by an unthinkable act of fate. A young girl's life is abruptly ended on a desolate forest path under the wheels of his vehicle. In a desperate bid to protect his burgeoning career, he makes a fateful decision to conceal the tragedy within the silent embrace of the woods. However, when he returns to his car, a heart-wrenching encounter awaits him. The girl's mother, her eyes echoing the agonizing search for her missing daughter, recognizes him. Oblivious of the dark tale he harbours, she pleads with him to aid her search. Tangled in his web of guilt and deception, Richard is now compelled to guide her through the very forest that bears silent witness to his crime. As he attempts to steer her away from the truth that lies buried in the forest's heart, each plea to retreat only serves to draw them closer to the grim resting place.
