Secret Sunshine (2007)

After a tragic car accident claims the life of her husband, Shin-ae bravely embarks on a journey, moving southward to Miryang, her late husband's quaint hometown. She attempts to manifest a new life in this unfamiliar, painfully ordinary town, but she soon discovers she is a square peg in a round hole. Offering a helping hand is the well-meaning yet somewhat irksome bachelor, Kim Jong-chan, who owns a local car repair shop. As life trudges on, Shin-ae is dealt a devastating blow from fate's cruel hand - she loses her son in an unimaginable, heartbreaking manner. Grappling with her grief, she seeks solace in Christianity, hoping to find balm for her wounded heart. However, when even this sanctuary proves elusive, Shin-ae challenges the heavens, embarking on a defiant crusade against God himself.
