Arthur Hamilton, a middle-aged banker constrained by the monotony of his life, becomes prey to an eerie phone call instigated by his supposedly deceased friend, Charlie. This mysterious call ignites an opportunity to erase his dull existence and adopt a life of exacting design. Thrust into a clandestine operation, Hamilton exchanges his humdrum reality for a fabricated existence, orchestrated by an enigmatic organization known only as 'The Company.' The Company, a puppeteer of human lives, deals in the extraordinary trade of offering wealthy individuals a chance to shed their old skin and adorn a new persona - an artist, a writer, a high-ranking politician.
