When Pablo and Fernando, proprietors of a drowning children's book publishing company, secure a lifeline by contracting the nation's top-selling author, Adela Mora, they set off a chain of comedic errors. On the evening of the signing, Pablo's house becomes a hotbed of romantic intrigue. Unbeknownst to each other, Paco, a friend of Pablo, seeks to borrow the house for a clandestine rendezvous, while Fernando plans to lavish Adela with wining and dining. Simultaneously, Carmen, Paco's wife, has her own secret plans to whisk her lover away to Rosa's house. The night descends into chaos as Paco juggles his inquisitive secretary, Silvia, and his suspicious wife, Carmen.
