Plot

In the flamboyant fanfare of Guy Fawkes Day, 1892, renowned playwright Oscar Wilde steps into the opulent clandestinity of an elite bordello. Awaiting him, a revel of surprises; his scandalous and prohibited play, 'Salome', is to be performed in the boudoir’s theatrical embrace. The cast is a vibrant tapestry of characters, prostitutes assuming roles, Wilde's own intriguing host, and his fervent lover, Lord Alfred Douglas, known as Bosie, who himself is to tread the boards. The night unfurls like a richly woven tapestry, with Bosie embodying the magnetic figure of John the Baptist. As the play's passionate and controversial narrative unfolds, Wilde's off-stage interactions with the captivating cast stoke the embers of Bosie's jealousy. The bordello transforms into a theatre of tension and intrigue, a shadowy microcosm where artistry and desire intersect. In the flickering candlelight of this unconventional theatre, the audience is led on a journey through the highs and lows of art, love, and rivalry. Will the night's dramatic events pull back the curtain on personal secrets and awaken dormant passions? 'Salome's Last Dance' is a tantalising waltz through the hidden corridors of Victorian nightlife, where the stage is set for an evening few will forget.
