Dennis left his girlfriend at the altar five years before. He panicked at the thought of being a husband, and father, as his former fiancé was pregnant as well. Ever since that day, Dennis has tried to convince his former love to take him back. However, she isn't interested in rekindling a relationship with Dennis. In her eyes, Dennis has never committed to anything. Instead, she finds love with a new man. Her new boyfriend also takes an interest in her son, which makes Dennis even more jealous. He knows the only way he can win back Elizabeth is to finish something.
