In the bustling heart of Boston, Charlie Farrow, a promising law student moonlighting as a part-time mechanic, is entrusted with the task of delivering a gleaming new Porsche to a client in the vibrant gambling haven of Atlantic City. However, as the city's shimmering lights draw near, the vehicle sputters to a halt, forcing Charlie to pause his journey. Mistaken for an affluent high roller by an unsuspecting cab driver, Charlie is whisked away to a glitzy casino, complete with a bar and kitchen to satiate his hunger. An impromptu poker game ensues, where Charlie unwittingly stirs the ire of Denny Halloran, the hot-headed son of a powerful crime lord, by besting him at the table. A fight breaks out, ending with Denny's tragic demise as he trips and fatally strikes his head on a counter's sharp edge. Suddenly, Charlie finds himself ensnared in a deadly web spun by Denny's father, the imposing Matt Halloran. As the owner of the casino and the town's corrupt police force, Matt wields his power to wrongfully accuse Charlie of murder, setting the city's cops and his menacing henchmen on his trail. With a hefty bounty on his head and no one to trust, Charlie is thrust into a desperate and dangerous game of survival. As the bodies begin to stack up and the grip of Matt's wrath tightens, Charlie must navigate the treacherous cityscape, outwit his relentless pursuers, and prove his innocence before it's too late. The once simple task of delivering a car soon morphs into a high-stakes race against time in the perilous underworld of Atlantic City.
