Rudranetra (1989)

In the dark underbelly of international crime, the nefarious Sarva Bushan Rao, in a chilling alliance with the infamous underworld kingpin, Q, are discovered conducting horrifying human experiments. The Indian Secret Service, stirred to action, assigns the case to their top agent, Nethra. As he inches closer to apprehending the monstrous duo, his life is tragically cut short, leaving the mission unfinished. Undeterred, the Indian authorities place the heavy mantle of responsibility onto the capable shoulders of Agent Pratima. Accepting the challenge with steely resolve, she embarks on her perilous journey to take down the criminal alliance. Her path intertwines with Yaadgiri, a man bearing an uncanny resemblance to the late Agent Nethra. Persuaded by Pratima, Yaadgiri transforms into a convincing imitation of Bollywood's 'Don', Amitabh Bachchan, primed and ready to infiltrate Rao's inner circle. Yaadgiri's first mission is to charm the hearts of Rao's daughters, Swarnalekha and Hanslekha, a task complicated by a case of mistaken identity. However, before he can rectify his error, Rao discovers the ruse and ruthlessly eliminates Hanslekha, his own flesh and blood. The question hangs heavy in the air: how does one combat an enemy so merciless? But as the plot thickens, they soon realise that Rao is merely a puppet dancing on the strings of a much more sinister puppeteer - the elusive Kuala Lumpur-based Black Eagle, an underworld don more ruthless and cunning than Rao and Q combined. As the clock ticks ominously, Black Eagle stands on the cusp of launching a deadly missile, threatening to rain destruction upon thousands of innocent lives.
