In the heart of Mexico, Lucia, a determined mother from a humble town, resolves to traverse the vast expanse to the United States. Her mission is to seek out her son's absentee father, a man whose voice has been silent for years. Her path unexpectedly entwines with that of Fernanda, a woman born into privilege, who is compelled to journey hundreds of miles to settle unfinished business with an estranged ex-lover. These two women, their lives etched from starkly different social cloths, find themselves navigating the same uncertain road, each fueled by a desperate need to rekindle lost connections.
