Retrograde (2004)

In a future not far off, an audacious journey back in time is embarked upon by a squad of genetically unique individuals, under the leadership of John Foster. They aim to avert the unearthing of meteors harboring a lethal extraterrestrial bacteria - a microscopic menace that nudges humanity to the precipice of obliteration. What John is unaware of is the treason brewing within his ranks, as Dalton, an officer with personal ambitions, plots to exploit this temporal leap for his selfish desires. Their stage is a vessel marooned in the frosty wilderness of the Antarctic, where destiny and serendipity dramatically intertwine the lives of the onboard scientists and polar researchers with John and Dalton. These clashing time voyagers soon realize that their voyage back to the present day triggers the disastrous events they sought to prevent.
