In the dusty heart of the American West, 1876, the tough-as-nails Sheriff of Horseshoe town, Roycephus Pulsipher, finds his life brutally cut short in a deadly fracas with the notorious Samuels gang. Unexpectedly, death is not the end of the road for Roy. He is drafted into the spectral ranks of the Rest In Peace Department, setting the stage for the tumultuous events of R.I.P.D. (2013). In 'R.I.P.D. 2: Rise of the Damned,' Roy is resurrected to don his badge once more, not for avenging his untimely demise but to maintain the cosmic balance between life and death. His mission: to rid our world of the Deados, rebellious spirits who evade eternal judgment and threaten to overrun the Earth. Malevolent forces have plotted to bridge the gap between realms, opening a nightmarish portal from Hell to Earth in the once tranquil mining town of Red Creek.
