Polka-Dot Puss (1949)

As a thunderstorm rages outside, Tom, the crafty feline, finds himself on the brink of being tossed into the tempest by his owner, Mammy. In a spark of sly inspiration, Tom fabricates a cold, securing himself a cozy berth by the fireside. However, this doesn't sit well with his frenemy, Jerry, the mischievous mouse. In a clever twist, Jerry, armed with red paint, conspires to convince Tom he's fallen prey to a severe case of measles. The situation escalates into a whirlwind of comic chaos, with Tom's "treatment" proving far more harrowing than his supposed ailment. He's frozen, roasted, and dunked in a shower, leading to a rollercoaster of alternating hot and cold calamities. Emerging from the shower, Tom discovers his spots have vanished and stumbles upon Jerry's paint, unveiling the ruse. Enraged, Tom lunges at Jerry, only to find the tables turned as Jerry suddenly manifests genuine symptoms of measles. In a delightful twist of irony, the cat and mouse duo find themselves confined together, their rivalry bridged by the shared predicament of quarantine.
