In the rugged expanse of Oregon Country, 1868, a mosaic of Native American tribes find themselves confined to a reservation north of the serpentine Snake River. Amidst this cultural kaleidoscope, the stoic Doctor Holden erects a church, kindling the light of Christianity within many tribal members who willingly adopt Christian names. Sergeant Emmett Bell, a man of duty and honor, shoulders the responsibility of preserving peace within this volatile blend of old and new worlds.
