Plot

In the historic heart of Albuquerque, New Mexico, resides Our Lady of the Assumption, a Catholic parish, where the young and contemplative Gregory Lind serves as a junior priest. The hallowed walls of the church are not a sanctuary for Greg, as he finds himself wrestling with deep-seated philosophical discord with the church, particularly with Father Paul Schaeffer, the stern senior priest of the parish. Greg's faith is further tested when he encounters a dilemma involving one of the less-privileged pupils from the parish school, a striking contrast to the affluent majority of the congregation. This crisis leads him to cross paths with Pamela Gibson, an affluent divorcee and dedicated social worker. Despite their differing perspectives on addressing the young boy's predicament, an unlikely spark ignites between them, blossoming into a passionate affair. Greg, already grappling with doubts about his chosen path, finds his life further complicated by Pamela's entrance. As he stands at the crossroads, he must decide where his faith, his love for Pamela, and his own future intersect, uncovering the pieces of his dreams along the way. His journey is a testament to the human spirit and its quest for identity amidst conflicting allegiances and desires.
